Here is the documentary I put together. IT IS a true story about my life as a stand up comic.. I think I could make it better, but just don't have money to pay for a camera person.
I am VERY grateful to my filmmaker Christie Conochalla who got me this far!!

Here's the back story of the documentary..
The reason I GOT INTO COMEDY IS BECAUSE I was so lazy and had no other talents.. I used to make the kids laugh in school. I hated school so I needed some entertainment. I didn't even know why they were laughing. It took me years to figure out my own sense of humor.
Told my mom I was going to Hollywood to be famous on tv. She said what is ur talent going to be Amy. I said I dont know yet, but I'LL FIGURE IT OUT.
One day I wrote a poem in high school and won first place. I then realized I could write. A friend of mine approached me and said could u write some lyrics for my rap song I have, So, I did and we recorded it.
Then one day I'm driving in my car and it came to me OH OH OH U NASTY HO HO HO U GOTS TO GO GO GO. I pulled over my car immediately and wrote it down. I knew it was gonna be good. So, I met this guy who made rap beats. I wrote the whole entire song out oh oh oh u nasty ho ho ho you gots to go go go. I use a girls name in it from my high school. I made cassette tapes and everyone bumped it in there car.
So, here I am thinking I am a songwriter. So, my mom bought me a guitar and I took off to Nashville after writing 5 serious country songs. Needless to say I failed in Nashville. So, my mom told me why dont try writing funny songs with ur guitar cause everything just keeps coming out funny. So that is what I did.
Here I am still thinking Im a songwriter.. My mom had a family reunion. My uncle plays guitar and he ask me if I would play a song for everyone.
Word had gotten around the family I was writing songs now. So, very shy I got up in front of my moms whole big family of 8 sisters and brothers and started singing. The looks on their face and the laughter was so obvious to me at that moment exactly what I was.. A "comedian"! I think I always knew it. I was just selling myself short.
So, I enrolled in a comedy class in New Orleans Louisiana and met the teacher and the first thing out of my mouth was: "HOW DO U GET TO HOLLYWOOD". He laughed and said woah honey slow down that's a big place. I said I don't care tell me how to get to Hollywood. So he eventaully told me and here I am 14 yrs later!

I've known Amy for ten years now, all her stories are true and I'm impressed that she is bold enough to bring her real life adventures on to the stage with her unique and uncanny humor. Her stage presence is amazing, I've seen her perform and have never seen someone connect with an audience the way she does. But I must say, as her witness~ her struggles are real. I'd love to see her put together more documentaries showing the challenges that comedians endure in order to bring laughter and comic relief to the public. It is not an easy job, but one in which I think we all couldn't live without; Thanks to their effort and strife to stand in what can sometimes be the harsh public spotlight and expose themselves wholeheartedly. Amy always wins the audience over and that is her reward for her passion and years of experience in this industry. Humor is the best medicine, and Amy delivers.

I met Amy at Starbucks where I work and she is a customer. She invited me to one of her shows. As she aproaches the stage. I didnt know what to make of her. Its like I wanted to give her a hug and make sure she was ok. She looked terrified and then she grabbed the mic and started saying all these off the wall hilarious things.
