GA state law makes it unconstitutional for GA cities to adopt "chronic nuisance property ordinances"

by James Richard "Butch" Palmer
(Augusta, GA, USA)

Documentary Idea: The urban core of Augusta, Georgia like many Georgia cities has become blighted because of "Known Drug Houses". Augusta citizens have gone to great effort to remedy this situation.

We brought in an expert to educate our county commissioners about the usefulness of a Chronic Nuisance Property Ordinance.

We discovered that under Georgia state law that landlords in Georgia do not have to be accountable to a third party. Much of our efforts got local press coverage. Our neighborhood association web pages has this coverage to view here:

A hand full of rich families rule Augusta, GA
by: Anonymous

A hand full of rich families rule Augusta, GA. We need new outside money to move into Augusta to break the organized crime.

Augusta is like a monopoly board for the elite to manipulate. There is not much hope for the Augusta urban core without new Mayoral leadership unless Mayor Deke alters his path of destruction!
