The purpose of this film festival is to promote newer movie makers, exchange of knowledge, information, ideas & culture between India & other nations in context of their social and cultural ethos. JIFF also promotes friendship and co-operation among people of the world through the medium of films & documentaries.

JIFF has completed the successful journey of five years recently. With numerous ups and downs, JIFF-2013 surmounted all the expectations.

JIFF is the first film festival in the history of Indian film festivals which was organized at 10 screens this year.

JIFF is the world’s first film festival which received films from 90 countries within just 5 years.

Ten films have received National Film Awards and one feature film received the Academy Award (Oscar) after being awarded at the Jaipur International Film Festival in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013.

We are anticipating 50,000+ registrations for this year and skirmishing to have 100,000 registrations till 2016.

The event is supported by the Government of Rajasthan.
